Ultima Forma launches the use of Electroformit, an AI-powered engineering agent to accelerate electroforming innovation at Farnborough International Airshow

Hampshire-based engineering company Ultima Forma has unveiled its use of Electroformit, a new AI-powered engineering agent designed to help manufacturers identify innovative applications for electroforming technology.
Launched at the Farnborough International Airshow, the tool combines expertise in electroforming with advanced AI capabilities to help engineers explore new design concepts, material options and manufacturing routes.
Electroformit works by capturing engineering requirements before assessing suitable electroformed materials, hybrid manufacturing processes and potential design solutions. The system then recommends approaches that may not be identified through traditional design methods.
Electroforming is an advanced manufacturing process that deposits metal onto a form or substrate to create lightweight, high-precision components with complex geometries and exceptional performance characteristics.
Ultima Forma is using the technology after recognising that many engineering teams had limited awareness of the full capabilities and potential applications of electroforming.
